(Note: Arturo O’Farrill is a member of MFM’s Board)

Join us for the Brooklyn premiere of Arturo O’Farrill’s tribute to one of the most provocative cultural critics and social activists of our time.

The piece was commissioned by the Apollo Theater in May of last year. The Cornel West Concerto is a tour-de-force work and an oratorical plea for justice, love and respect. The text by Dr. Cornel West, is based on questions proposed by W.E.B Dubois at the turn of the 20th Century. – See more at: http://www.brooklyncenter.org/buy-tickets/calendar-of-events/view/Arturo-OFarrills-The-Cornel-West-Concerto/#sthash.MDyFZP7Q.dpuf
